There is no denying that Jeff and Talina’s rustic glam wedding was a gorgeous celebration. This wedding is full of some very special details, from being married on the family farm to the wishing well Jeff’s dad had built himself. This soft blush and gold wedding will have you inspired to plan your own rustic glam wedding! Thanks to Twitchy Finger Photography for sharing these fun yet stunning photos and details.
From the bride…“We met at the local watering hole, Billy Bobs in Red Deer, Alberta. We didn’t have any mutual friends, just randomly bumped into each other there. He bought me a drink and we talked and laughed for the rest of the night. I didn’t know where Eckville, AB, Jeff’s hometown, even was. He got my number that night, Eckville is now home to me and 6 years later we had the wedding of our dreams!”
Favorite Memories From The Wedding
For Talina: It’s so hard to choose! Riding into the ceremony on the democrat wagon is a moment I’ll never forget.I also loved spray painting our blue bus. One of the groomsmen owned that blue bus in high school, had sold it, and bought it back 3 weeks before the wedding. Jeff and I spray painted “gettin hitched” on the side of it after our first look and the entire wedding party signed their names on the inside roof. It’ll always be such an awesome memory driving down the highway with our wedding party, getting honked at and cheered for by people driving by.
For Jeff: Riding away after the ceremony on the democrat wagon that my dad and I built together. Dads had the wheels for that wagon for over 10 years, he’s wanted to build it for years and got it done in time for our wedding. Talina rode into the ceremony on it and we rode it out of the ceremony. It’ll always be one of my favourite memories.
Talina + Jeff’s Wedding Day Theme and Details
We didn’t really have a set theme for our wedding. The main thing we focused on was having a fun, laid back day with our favorite people and we made sure we stayed true to who we are. We had a gold and soft pink colour scheme. If I had to pick a theme I would say rustic chic with a lot of personal touches. Jeff built the bar and beer bar out of wood from his grandma’s farmland, the groomsmen built the rustic wood backdrop, Jeff’s dad built the wishing well that cards were placed in and the best man gave us the longhorn skull, that he refurbished, as a wedding gift. It really made a statement on the backdrop. My brother painted an “H” logo on our white dance floor (built by the wedding party out of pallets and painted the day before) and that was also one of my favorite features of the tent. The rustic wood backdrop really popped against the glitz of the rose gold sequin tablecloth at our head table. We also strung old fashioned bulb lights throughout the tent and hung 3 chandeliers over the dance floor. Mixing rustic statement pieces with glamorous decor had me nervous before I saw it all pull together during set up the day before. But it turned out great! And it really is a theme that reflects my own personal style! What made the entire atmosphere so special was the venue – Jeff’s parents yard and land is absolutely beautiful and that really set the tone for the entire “look” of the wedding. The amount of work, time and effort that Jeff’s family put into getting everything ready for us was unbelievable. Our day wouldn’t have happened without the labour of love that our family and friends put into it.
Huge congratulations to Talina and Jeff on tying the knot!
