Today we have a beautiful sunny southern Alberta wedding. This wedding is so bright and cheerful, you can really tell how much this couple loves one another. The details of this wedding are what really make it so amazing, from the bridal party arriving by wagon, stunning sunflowers and the grooms attire. A big Thank you to Kaycee Ann Photography for the stunning images!
A little bit about the happy couple, In the summer of 2012, Alicia made a last-minute decision to drive to an unlikely place for a night out with a friend. Tyson was celebrating his birthday at the Brooks Hotel when he met his future bride. They soon discovered that they had a passion for agriculture and an appreciation for life in the country. Before long, the weekly trips between Lethbridge and Brooks and later Okotoks and Brooks began. If you ask Tyson, you may hear that he has done more of the driving, but Alicia will assure you that she’s ready to spend the rest of her life making it up to him. They are so looking forward to sharing their lives together on Tyson’s family farm in Rolling Hills.
From Kaycee Ann Photography….”Alicia & Tyson’s day was a beautiful sunny southern Alberta country wedding. Alicia’s bridal party consisted of her sister, and her new sisters in law (3!). Tyson’s groomsmen were all close friends that he was raised with since he was a kid. The ceremony happened at the bottom of a coulee, on the edge of a river. Alicia & her bridesmaids were taken to the ceremony site in a wagon, by a black Percheron team driven by her father. The guests could watch their descent down the coulee from kilometres away! Guests sat on hay bales for the ceremony and the wedding arch was decorated with a humongous sunflower garland. We photographed the bridal party portraits in the coulee before we headed to the reception, where guests enjoyed burgers and sunflower cupcakes. Speeches had everyone laughing, and in tears, and then Tyson’s family wrapped up speeches with a hilarious flash mob that got the whole reception up and dancing!”
Congratulations to Alicia and Tyson, we wish you all the best!
