Today’s feature is a super exciting one that was sent in by the bride, Stacey. Stacey had reached out to me asking if I would like to check out her wedding and see if it would make a good fit for Style Inspired Weddings. Well, within 3 images I was hooked and knew this wedding needed to be shared with all!!
You can tell Stacey poured her heart and soul into this wedding, not only making it a perfect day for her and Mark but for their families as well. This wedding is full of so much love and happiness, it is guaranteed to brighten your day. So check out this amazing gallery below from Olsen Art Photography.
From the bride, Stacey…Our day started off as lucky as any wedding day possibly can, with a beautiful light summer morning rain. I woke up surrounded by all the loving and strong women in my life ready to support me through any incredibly happy day. We shared mimosa’s and stories, presents and hugs then hurried into the hustle of getting ready!
Gretzie Parth and her team graced our faces with Glam Artistry. Her line of luxury eyelashes absolutely took our makeup to a completely new level of flawless, I still wear them almost everyday!
My dearest friend and Hair Stylist Lorna-Lee Luchak did our hair and completely captured my boho bride vibe! I wore my hair down with curls, a 5 strand braid and Gypsophila throughout my hair.
I wore a white Victoria’s Secret Romper and a Plum Pretty Sugar Robe that has Lace detailing and is made of a blend of the softest California Cotton before I slipped into my custom Miss Stella York wedding dress straight from Australia.
My girls swag bags for helping us celebrate our special day included Plum Pretty Sugar Robes in a Honeycakes Taupe color to match their dresses, Knot earrings, Personalized Makeup bags with their names and titles and custom wooden hangers for their dresses.
Our groomsmen received custom leather monogram shaving kits with their initials, socks and mini shots.
We had an intimate wedding of 150 of our closest family and friends, his parents graciously hosted our ceremony and reception at their beautiful acreage where Mark had grown up. Our ceremony was held outdoors on a rock deck surrounded by beautiful greenery, trees and an array of white and pink flowers. Our “altar” was a white arch adorned with green eucalyptus and white tulle draping. Mark had the idea of surprising each other on the day of with our attire, so I trusted him with the help of one of my MOH’S to select all the groomsmen suits. He and my sister (one of my MOH’S) went and decided them and I never knew what he would be wearing until I walked down the aisle. They did so perfect at capturing our style and vibe for our wedding, Elegant meets Bohemian.
Our officiant did such an excellent job at capturing the way we wanted to make our guests feel, Love and Happiness. His sermon revolved around Love and Colossians 3:14, I also added a personal detail to our ceremony that during the exchange of our rings we said these words “with this ring, I give you my heart, from this day forward, you shall not walk alone, may my arms be your home”. We also wrote our own vows, which made our ceremony personal and full of happy tears and emotion.
One of my favourite and intimate moments is our videographer, Kim with Narra Studios, sat both Mark and I down privately, and interviewed us moments before we walked down the aisle. He asked us questions like “how are you feeling this exact moment” and “what is something you want to say to Him/Her right now” and needless to say, we both got emotional and it was the sweetest and most raw moment. I do believe I made Kim cry at the same time! I love that Kim included those interviews in our highlight reel, it allowed me to see how emotional it was for Mark as well.
Our yard had personal and thoughtful touches like romantic string lights, a water fountain and a bench with photos and a sign to honour our family who has passed but are still missed and loved. We also had a kissing wheel which doubled as photo prop and kept our guests busy playing all night! We had wine barrels with vintage wooden doors and water dispensers with lemon slices, water bottles for our guests that sat on ice in a vintage wooden wheel barrel. As you entered the acreage you were greeted by 8’ giant LOVE letters, we love that it literally emphasized what our day was all about.
To document our guests and our special day we made a Wooden Guests Bench that all of our guests signed. It is now an item that we can always look at as a reminder and we cannot wait to use it in the foyer of our farm house!
My father is a musician so I grew up surrounded by music and I learned that music can create a feeling and I knew exactly how I wanted our guests to feeul, so I made a playlist of songs to play before the ceremony to create an energy in the air of love and romance which included John Mayer – XO, If you ask me to – MacKenzie Porter and That’s when you know – Chris Buck Band. Mark and his groomsmen walked down the aisle to Yours – Russell Dickerson, my bridesmaids walked down to Can’t Help Falling In Love – Ingrid Michaelson, I walked down the aisle to A Thousand Years – The Piano Guys, we signed our wedding certificate to Perfect – Ed Sheeran and we recessed to Best Day Of My Life – American Authors.
For our wedding day transportation we chose a 1979 dodge sportsmen which a local dealership had in incredible condition. I also loved that it was another vintage detail and a bit of a change compared to your typical limo.
We had an elegant pole tent reception at his parents acreage, where tulle draping, string lights and chandeliers with greenery set an ambiance of romance. We had full faux grass backdrops that had our initials in 4’ letters hung and an old family heirloom chandelier hung above to light the letters and every kiss Mark and I snuck. The chandelier above our head table was an old chandelier from Marks Grandmothers house that his mother fixed and replaced the broken crystals so it could be a feature piece for our special day; and it really was a way for us to remember her every time we looked up.
We had white sequin table cloths and eucalyptus on every table with white flowers that matched my big, peony bouquet. We had rose gold accents on every table with live cypress sprigs on each napkin. Our wedding gifts for our guests were custom stemless wine glasses with faux birch straws. The glasses were rose gold with the word Love surrounded by a wreath, our names and our wedding date beneath.
My mother added a personal touch to my bouquet for my ‘something old & borrowed’ which was a ring of hers and her very first pair of earrings from her home country, Hungary, that she pinned into my bouquet which was so special to me and such a personal detail.
I had so much fun planning our reception because I had a vision that I could not wait to bring to life. We had an Oak bar that I purchased used and decorated with greenery, and DIY “trust me, you can dance – alcohol” sign, a tray of our stemless glasses for our guests to use for whichever cocktail they chose and an old flower pot that had the words from our first dance on it (a Homesense score). Behind the bar we had a faux grass wall with two ladders and 3’ light up BAR marquee letters that sat on an old piece of wood.
Our cake table was 2 wine barrels with a vintage door, our wedding cake and cupcakes sat upon beautiful custom made wood cookie tiers and a platter made of bark, again, totally capturing our bohemian elegant theme with all the draped greenery. I tried to DIY most of our decor, all of our signage I made myself. I wanted lots of candles so I bought tons of different candle holders from various stores, used split peas from bulk barn as vase filler and tea lights to create a romantic setting. As part of our dinner I just HAD to have my moms famous homemade Mac and cheese, as a Restaurant owner you can guarantee it was the biggest hit! I had the biggest surprise from my two sisters who were my Maids of honour, they both had the kindest most thoughtful speeches and then worked countless hours to put together a surprise slideshow full of pictures of Mark and I growing up and our relationship together.
We had a traditional bouquet toss and a not so traditional garter toss, as well as the absolute most sweetest speeches from the ones we love, who have supported and encouraged our relationship throughout the years. We toasted with champagne and remembered to take it all in as the day goes by too fast!
We danced, laughed, and loved happily ever after.
