Today’s boho golf course wedding has me waiting for those summer days so bad! Shayla and Mike’s wedding day was full on sunny goodness. One of the coolest things about this wedding is how they got married on the third hole of Mike’s parents golf course. How freaking awesome is that? Shayla also incorporated some awesome Native American traditions. Amara Dirks Photography was there to capture every moment and you must see all the images below.
From Amara Dirks Photography…A beautiful setting with two beautiful people. Shayla really wanted to incorporate her Native American heritage traditions into their beautiful day.
They incorporated the vase ceremony – The bride and groom drink from the water pouring from the vase as a toast to their union. The blanket ceremony – the white blanket the couple’s dedication to filling their new lives with peace and happiness.
They were married at his parents golf course in Northern Alberta on the third hole. Guests walked to their beautiful location nestled in a cove of Spruce trees on a hot July afternoon. They chose a traditional Native American ceremony. Dinner was held in an outdoor tent with live music serenading the guests. Their details were planned perfectly – incorporating Mike’s love for golf and her love of pretty things. They spent a lot of their time creating beautiful DIY projects (including their #Dbar that housed whisky and cigars for their guests!) that created the perfect atmosphere.
Mike + Shayla, wishing a lifetime of love and happiness to you!!!
